Aroa Fernández

Academia Flamenco is delighted with Aroa Fernández’s move to Granada from Madrid, the city of her birth and for her offering of voice classes at our school. Aroa is one of the most versatile singers of the new flamenco that fuses it with pop and soul. After moving to Granada, Aroa formed the group SERRAT and has been performing with them since then.

Aroa has appeared on TV shows such as La Voz, Got Talent, Especial Navidad Enrique Moreno, Aquí hay Duende, Korsa Live, and has shared the stage with artists of the stature of maestro Jorge Pardo, Carlos. Benavent, Antonio Carmona, Mellis de Huelva, Josemi Carmona, Diego del Morao, Bandolero, Luis Dulzaides, Julio Martin, la Tana, David de Jacoba, Maria Terremoto, Nani Cortés, Ángela Bautista, Juan Debel, el Chojin, Sidi Samb, Simo Bazzaoui (Tour for Morocco), Isabel Pantoja (Tour), El Barrio (Tour), Dioni Martin, Sandra Carrasco and Yeray Cortés, and Aurora Losada among many others. In 2020 she joined the company of Joaquín Cortés.

Aroa’s first solo studio album came out in 2015 under the title: My Soul Is Not for Sale, which was broadcasted nationally in the list of Radiolé. In October 2018, Aroa presented a new single, Puñaitos de Flamenco y Son that was released on all digital platforms. In 2019, Aroa released Afroflamenco Dem Dikk. 

In 2021, Aroa inaugurated the festival MilNoff with the show of Pepe Luis Carmona Habichuela In Paradisum, where she merged flamenco with the dance of Karime Amaya and the String Quintet of the orchestra of Granada, the choir of Chambers of Granada and the soprano singer Mariola Cantarero in the Generalife of the Alhambra.

In 2021 Aroa participated in the Andalusian program Tierra de Talento and is proclaimed the winner of the gala with the theme Fallin by Alicia  Keys, presenting a clear fusion of Soul with flamenco.
